The Manager, Business Systems - Renewals Management role, is an exciting opportunity to manage a core component of the Latin America business. This role provides an opportunity to make an immediate and long term/lasting impact. In this position, you will be responsible for managing all factors in the renewals process across all business units within a truly global environment.
The ideal candidate will draw upon a strong foundation of:
- Data analysis to Identify problems and reconciliation issues
- Systems analysis to design better processes and recommend effective system changes
- Project management to ensure solutions are executed and renewals processing meets all deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to influence key constituents and ensure timely progress on initiatives
- Specifically, you will lead the management of the renewals processes, functions, data and responsibilities, including the following:
- Manage the entire renewals process for the Latin America business, with a key focus to improve retention and the overall renewals outcome for the customer and the business
- Develop governance and standards surrounding the processing of renewals.
- Ensure proper validation steps are performed on all customer facing documents (invoices, renewals) before they are distributed to customers.
- Manage Renewal cycle timelines to ensure timely renewal processing.
- Establish reporting and metrics to track the renewals progress and process.
- Maintain renewal reports to track progress of renewal cycles and key milestones in the renewals process.
- Coordinate with the SAP and Salesforce.com (SFDC) teams to ensure the renewals data is represented properly in both systems.
- Proactively identify data related issues and work with the Sales, Sales Ops and Order Processing to resolve.
- Work with MIS teams to ensure the renewals data is properly and consistently represented in both systems and ensure that batch jobs & systems are working properly.
- Work closely with Order Processing, Sales Support and Customer Service teams as necessary to remediate renewal related tickets reported via case management systems.
- Support various departments, including Sales, by helping to answer questions and resolve issues regarding renewals.
- Participate in major initiatives impacting the overall Renewals process, including Order Capture and standard SFDC migration.
- Actively participate in User Acceptance Testing for renewal processes to ensure accurate changes to system code and processes.
- Manage one data analyst resource to support the Renewals process.
- The Manager, Business Systems - Renewals Management will be responsible for interacting with a variety of departments - both shared services across Thomson Reuters as well as within Latin America, including:· MIS· SAP Order-To-Cash (One Vision project) & other shared program teams· Finance Operations (order fulfillment, invoicing, accounts receivable, cash applications, master data, etc.)· Sales Organization· Sales Operations, Planning & Strategy· Customer Service MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Proactively partner with applicable TR centralized resources to effectively manage the renewals cycle for IP & Science· Ensure integrity of the renewals data in both SAP and Salesforce.com· Facilitate meetings across a variety of constituents on a regular basis to identify, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the renewals cycle.· Partner with various businesses to implement necessary business process changes to support new renewals enhancements· Communicate with management any issues or challenges associated with the renewals cycle The role will require 20-25% travel.
Qualifications
Qualifications EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Bachelor's degree is required (concentration in fields of technology, management information systems or related fields is preferred). MBA is beneficial.· Solid technology (MIS) background coupled with an understanding of operations and finance· Must thoroughly understand the capabilities of business systems, including what they can and cannot do for a growing, global $1B business· Must have ability to quickly develop solutions to a variety of complex business and organization issues (i.e. present solutions – not problems for others to address)· Must have exceptional execution discipline· 5+years of progressive experience in a large, global, matrixed, for-profit organization· Demonstrated experience and skills in decision making, strategic planning, execution and communication· Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and demonstrated success managing in a matrixed environment· Excellent leadership and analytical abilities with a strong desire to make an impact on the business· Effective communication style at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills; a willingness to share information; and a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.· Technical knowledge and working knowledge of SAP and SFDC is highly preferred.· Solid understanding of the end to end Order-To-Cash processing and the interrelationships and interfaces to other systems and processes· A firm grasp of how technology directly impacts renewal cycles· Solid understanding and experience with data management, business process design and changing business processes.· Project management experience a plus At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
